Retreat Information:

We will take the middle school 6th and 7th grade youth and the 8th grade confirmation class from our church to Procter Camp and Conference Center where we will join other youth from our Episcopal Diocese.  Students do NOT need to be Episcopal to feel welcome at the retreat.  Last year there were about 50 students from all over Ohio at the spring retreat.

The students will be separated into high school and middle school groups.  The students will stay in very nice cabins at the retreat.  The cabins have 6 bedrooms with 3 beds in each room.  Bathrooms are in the cabins.  Camp counselors will stay in the cabins in separate bedrooms from the campers.   The camp counselors have all worked at the Procter summer camp, were in their 20s and were very well liked by the students.   I will be at the retreat the entire time and will participate with our students, but will not be staying in the cabins.

I am attaching a packing list to this email.  This is not a time to wear your nice clothes. We will be outside much of the time.

Goal of the retreat:

“This retreat will focus on what the youth want, particularly where we feel God calling us. We will let the youth attending this retreat help mold and shape the spiritual experience they are looking for. We will have worship opportunities, time for reflection and fellowship, tons of singing, games and fun in a wonderful community. We are hoping to provide a space for youth to grow closer to God
in a safe and fun environment.”
